ReturnAn annular (ring) eclipse is just like a total solar eclipse except the angular size of the Moon, as viewed from the Earth, is smaller than the angular size of the Sun. Therefore, the sun's surface is visible at all times during the eclipse. The corona and prominences are not usually seen during an annualar eclipse. This eclipse was viewed north of Middlebury, Vermont, USA. Annularity lasted about 6 minutes, 12 seconds. Film: Kodachrome 64. Lens: 900mm f/9 fluorite APO.
