Total Solar Eclipse of 26 Feb 98


As soon as the Solar disk is fully covered by the Moon, the Solar corona appears. The shape and size of the corona varies with time and Solar activity. The corona is visible throughout totality which can vary in length from just seconds up to a maximum of just over 7 minutes. This eclipse was 3 min 37 sec long and viewed from a ship near Aruba.
