We saw this total solar eclipse from the deck of the ms Veendam near Aruba at 12 deg 34 min N, 69 deg 31 min W. Totality lasted 3 min 37 sec. Because we were on a moving ship exposure times had to be kept as short as possible and I concentrated on photographing the solar promenences ("flames") which are relatively bright.
