October 2000. After years of using small aperture refractors (still have them and still love them!) I thought it would be nice if I could actually take a look at some of the things I photograph. So, in March 2000 I ordered an 18" Starmaster Dobsonian scope. I received it in late October, 2000. It has an 18" Zambuto mirror, a FeatherTouch focuser, the Sky Commander digital setting circles and the SkyTracker GOTO mount. The GOTO function is amazing to watch and almost as fun to use as the scope is! I wish the seeing around here was better than it is but I get occasional glimpses of what this scope can do and it's awesome. Rick Singmaster (owner of Starmaster Scopes) is also a great guy to deal with. I'd get another Starmaster in a heartbeat.
