July 7, 1998.
The drywall is completed: hung, taped, and sanded. As you can see, the oak
flooring is on the floor too. It's starting to look like a house!
I'm standing in the dining room looking towards to living room.
The square "niche" in the wall under the stairs was designed for a piece of
sculpture that Helen's brother, John A., made. The woodwork will start
very soon. All the images on this page were scanned directly
from 35mm negatives.
Another view of the stairs and front of house. This time standing in living
room looking towards dining room.
This is looking into the kitchen from the family room (where the
fireplace is located).
Standing in the litchen looking into the family room. It's hard to see but
the fireplace is way in the background.
This is the "bonus" room over the garage. It will become my office. It's not
really as long as it looks, I just used a very wide angle lens. The room is
about 36 feet long and 16 feet wide.
This is a view on the bay window/door, deck behind kitchen, and screened
porch. The bay window/door has the first coat of "real" stucco on it.
