We saw this eclipse from a ship (The Canberra) off the coast of Senegal in the Atlantic Ocean. This eclipse had one of the longest periods of totality one can have - over 7 minutes. From our position we had 5 minutes 32 seconds of totality. We stopped in Dakar and the Canary Islands during this cruise.We also had Neil Armstrong, Scott Carpenter, and Isaac Asimov on the cruise with us!
