In July 1987 Dad and I flew the Baron back to Baffin Island to hike in Auyuittuq Park again. This time we wanted to hike all the way to Summit Lake, about 10 miles further north into the park than we had traveled in 1985.While at Summit Lake we had one night of very heavy rain and wind. The streams were overflowing with rain water and glacier melt so it made our return trip a little more difficult but we did get back just fine and the trip was as beautiful as ever.
