I recently discovered some amazing software that will take a series of separate images and piece them together in a panorama. You don't even need a tripod! It works with pictures from a digital camera or scanned images. It's very easy to use and it works great. The three images below are an example. You just "drag" the three files into the software and let it go! The software will take up to 5 images wide and up to 5 images high for a total of up to 25 images in the panorama. Another software product from the same company will only do horizontal panoramas but will take an unlimited number of pictures and will even make a 360 degree image that you view with special software.
